Our Exceptional Leadership Programs
Tri Sigma’s innovative leadership programs are cohesively developed to engage women in leadership development for life. We want to cultivate qualities of resilience and integrity through leadership development. Our programs are designed for various stages of membership. We have emerging leaders, volunteers, and seasoned professionals participating in all levels of our programs. We offer one of the most comprehensive, outcomes focused, innovative leadership development programs in the inter fraternal world.
Tri Sigma Officer Academy
The Officer Academy is a regional program for newly elected officers to learn to lead using the values of Tri Sigma as their guide. This is more about skill development for women leaders than position training.
Chapter Advisory Board & Volunteer Summit
The CAB & Volunteer Summit is a National event. The Summit focuses on cutting edge skill development to continually prepare our volunteers to lead and guide Tri Sigma.
Dunham Women of Character Institute
This program is a two and a half day National event focusing on the training and empowerment of our younger members. The Institute is designed to prepare women to take on leadership roles in their chapter. Each chapter is encouraged to send at least one member to the Institute.
The Labyrinth Leadership Experience
The Labyrinth is a five day intense leadership journey based in Washington, D.C. and Woodstock, VA focusing on the five core values of Tri Sigma. The curriculum each year is based upon a chosen book that each participant must read prior to the experience. The Labyrinth Leadership Experience is open to collegiate and alumnae members through an annual nomination and application process.
Tri Sigma’s Convention occurs on the triennium calendar, and is a celebration of all things in Tri Sigma. Direct service, keynote speakers, and program tracks all contribute to a wonderful triennium gathering. Our next Convention is scheduled for Walt Disney World Resort in 2013.

High Point University – High Point, North Carolina
“Tri Sigma officially became a colony at High Point University in April 2010, and our community could not be happier both with the support and effort both nationally and locally to the needs of our campus and Greek community. During the expansion process, Sigma Sigma Sigma’s well trained staff and volunteers continually communicated as a partner with our Greek Life Office and Panhellenic Council to find and understand the needs of our growing community. This support and communication has continued even now."
– Heather Beatty, Interim Director of Greek Life/Director of Judicial Affairs
Frequently Asked Questions:
What are your positions on hazing, discrimination, alcohol, visitation, etc.?
Please see our positions on those topics here:
How does Tri Sigma name new chapters?
Upon Installation, chapters will be given one of two names:
1. Their original chartered name (in the case of recolonizations)
2. A new name based on chronological Greek letters (all other cases)
What advisory support do you offer each colony?
Advisors are a key and critical element in ensuring colonization excellence. As we investigate opportunities for Tri Sigma to grow, we assess the current community and begin to cultivate potential advisors. In the beginning of the colonization process, advisors are recruited, appointed, and trained in a full day retreat.
Training includes our online Advisor Training Program and an in-person training hosted by National Headquarters staff members. Additionally, these advisors participate in monthly check-ins in which they report on the progress and issues of the colony. They may fill some, or all of the following positions:
· Chapter Advisor
· Financial Advisor
· Honor Council Advisor
· Membership Recruitment Advisor
· Alumnae Relations Advisor
· Essential Sigma Advisor (Membership Development Advisor)
· Accreditation (Installation) and Awards Advisor
· Ritual Advisor
· Scholarship Advisor
