Volunteer Program
Sigma Sigma Sigma is volunteer-driven organization, and as such, is dependent on the commitment of alumnae members to share their time and talents. Each volunteer commits time, loyalty, flexibility, creativity and organization, communication skills and love for Tri Sigma. Volunteers are appointed by Executive Council for the triennium, and as needed during this three-year period. Appointments are based on position availability, ability to fulfill responsibilities, and individual talents and interests matched to position descriptions. Housing Corporation The Housing Corporation is the permanent group, usually comprised of three alumnae, which owns or rents the real and/or personal property to the chapter whether it be a house, lodge, suite, or room. The responsibilities include:
- Holding legal title to property and renting to the local chapter
- Maintaining and overseeing the chapter house and its occupants
The Housing Corporation is a legal organization, which creates an artificial person; therefore, Housing Corporation members are not personally responsible for the debts of the Corporation and are covered under the Sorority's liability insurance program. SIGMA HOUSES NEED VOLUNTEERS
Tri Sigma’s Housing department is in need of alumnae who would like to work with chapters that have houses. Each chapter with a house has a House Corporation which oversees the maintenance of the house, works with the chapter to place women in the house, and if applicable, hires and supervises the house staff. Working in housing is an excellent opportunity for those who have fewer hours to volunteer than would be required for an AAB position. The Housing Department works closely with the House Corporation volunteers, guiding the volunteers as they meet the needs of the chapter.
If you are a Sigma alumna or a parent of a Sigma collegian and are interested in volunteering in the Housing department, please contact Barbara Bonapfel, Housing Director.

The Alumnae Advisory Board may consist of a Chapter Advisor, Membership/Education Advisor and Financial Advisor and are appointed by Executive Council for a triennium.
National Officer Service National Officer service is a privilege and provides alumnae the opportunity to share time and skills that will contribute to the future of Sigma Sigma Sigma. The National Officer structure is illustrated in the Organizational Chart below. Appointments will be based on position availability, ability to fulfill responsibilities, and individual talents and interests matched to position descriptions. Current appointments are for the 2007-2010 triennium, and it is expected that each volunteer will fulfill her term commitment. Talk with Collegiate Education Director about calendar requirements for new members; c. Assist Collegiate Education Directors in seeking out assistance on their own campus for academic support centers; d. Assist Collegiate Education Directors in developing chapter goals; e.
