Magazine Name Change Survey
As the next step in our quest to move Ever Forward, we are considering a name change for The Triangle. But we don’t want to take such a drastic step without consulting you, the heart of Sigma Sigma Sigma. We have placed some suggestions in the below survey, and we would love to hear from you.
One of our favorite titles, as we consulted with marketing experts about how to move our organization Ever Forward, is Essentially Sigma. We believe this captures the Tri Sigma spirit and sets us apart from other publications that have the same or similar titles to The Triangle. In addition, many magazine titles have a subtitle, or tagline, that is a descriptor of the purpose of the publication. We have offered several to go along with Essential Sigma.
Or you can identify your own choices for the magazine or vote to keep the name, The Triangle, the same.
ALPHA OMICRON RETURNS! Sigmas from around the country recently gathered for the installation of the Alpha Omicron chapter at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas. Sigma Sigma Sigma has a long history at UCA. In 1935 Tri Sigma became the first NPC sorority on the UCA campus. Unfortunately, declining membership resulted in the closure of the chapter in 2006. However, in early 2007, Tri Sigma was contacted by campus officials indicating that an interest group had been formed with the goal of pursuing membership in Tri Sigma. In March 2007, a colonization recruitment was held and the UCA Colony began with 43 members.During the past year, the colony met their installation goals and formed the foundation for a strong chapter with April 12, 2008, marking the official installation of the Alpha Omicron Chapter at the University of Central Arkansas. The installation team included Emily Ellis, Collegiate Vice President; Brenda Ray, Colony Director; Amanda Koback, Collegiate Coordinator; Su-Lin Banks, Ritual Director; Leadership Consultants, Ashlee Baker and Nicole Steele, past Leadership Consultant, Jeni Anderson, and alumnae, Brenda Christie and Jenny Dodson Hunt. Tri Sigma was also very fortunate to have Emma Allen, Cassandra Brubaker, Stephanie Carpenter, Marchelle Crawford, & Lindsey Hines from Alpha Iota, Danielle Kloap, Emily Barnett, Britney Hornaday, Brittaney Miller, & Megan Mixon from Epsilon Beta, and Haley Burrow, Donelle Collins, Jennifer Joutras, Jenna Frisby, & Brinkley Moor from Epsilon Zeta as an integral part of the installation team. Throughout the colony process, the colony received valuable guidance from a very dedicated AAB which includes Katherine King, Membership Advisor; Jamie McDowell, Financial Advisor; Melody Parsley, Ritual Advisor; Kristen Sellers, Scholarship Advisor; and Elaine Wolff, Chapter Advisor. These dedicated women were also an integral part of the installation team.
